Ric Cheadle

I have been a Parish Councillor for 15 years and a West Devon Borough Councillor for 9 years and have lived in Yelverton for most of my adult life. A nuclear submariner, I retired from the Royal Navy in 2006, was appointed a Deputy Lieutenant of Devon in 2007 and I am Chair of the Trustees of Yelverton Community Projects (which looks after the Yelverton Play Park, YelverCare and the Yelverton Cinema).I have two grown up children and two grandchildren. My wife, Sonja is Norwegian and is Chair of the Yelverton NSPCC Fundraising Committee.
