You are summoned to attend a meeting of Buckland Monachorum Parish Council on

tuesday 25th March 2025 at 7.30pm at Milton Combe Village Hall for the purpose of transacting the business detailed below.

In accordance with The Public Bodies (Admissions to Meetings) Act 1960, members of the public and press are welcome to attend.

Members of the public are invited to make representations in writing to their local Councillor OR the Clerk OR in person prior to the commencement of the meeting proper.

AGENDA

  1. Members present.
  3. Declaration of Interests and Register of Interests.
  4. To consider and approve the minutes, of the following meeting:
    • The meeting of the parish council held on 25th February 2025
    • The Extraordinary meeting held on the 4th March 2025
  5. To receive a report from the WDBC Cllrs for this ward (Cllr Cheadle & Cllr Cunningham)
  6. To receive a report from the Devon County Councillor (Cllr Sanders)

Finance:

  1. To agree the payments for March 2025 and note the receipts.
  2. To note the bank reconciliation.

General Purposes:

  1. To consider having a short list of contractors that can be called upon for small jobs within the parish.
  2. To consider realigning the granite posts around the war memorial at Crapstone to allow better visibility (Cllr Cheadle)

Yelverton:

  1. To consider installing a bin on the Leg O Mutton stone bus shelter. (Cllr Cornthwaite)

Buckland:

  1. Grass cutting contract – any issues to report.

Cemetery:

  1. To consider a quote for a tree survey for the cemetery and Crapstone field.

Playparks and recreation areas:

  1. Buckland Monachorum update.
  2. Crapstone Playpark and wildlife area update.
  3. Update on creating a small orchard at Crapstone Recreational Field.

General and Correspondence

  1. To consider an action list (Cllr Burnie)
  2. Correspondence
  3. BMPC Communications (newsletters, social media, press articles)
  4. Update on Parish paths (P3) and other footpath matters. (Cllr Woollacott)
  5. Highway matters: any to be reported and updates.
  6. Items for the next agenda
  7. Future Meeting Dates

Wednesday 9th April, Planning Committee at 7.30pm at Clearbrook Community Hall.

Tuesday 22nd April Planning Committee at 7pm followed by Full Council at 7.30, Buckland Monachorum Village Hall
