To:  All Members of Buckland Monachorum Parish Council

You are summoned to attend a meeting of Buckland Monachorum Parish Council on

tuesday 28th January 2025 at 7.30pm at Clearbrook Community Hall for the purpose of transacting the business detailed below.

In accordance with The Public Bodies (Admissions to Meetings) Act 1960, members of the public and press are welcome to attend.

Members of the public are invited to make representations in writing to their local Councillor OR the Clerk OR in person prior to the commencement of the meeting proper.

AGENDA

  1. Members present.
  2. Declaration of Interests and Register of Interests.
  3. To consider and approve the minutes, of the following meeting:
    • The meeting of the parish council held on 17th December 2024
  4. To receive an update on devolution and the new national planning policy framework (NPPF)(Cllr Cheadle)
  5. To receive a report from the WDBC Cllrs for this ward (Cllr Cheadle & Cllr Cunningham)
  6. To receive a report from the Devon County Councillor (Cllr Sanders)

Finance:

  1. To agree the payments for January 2025 and note the receipts.
  2. To note the bank reconciliation.

General Purposes:

  1. To consider if the council would be interested in the outside play equipment at Buckland Monachorum Village Hall after the play group out for the cost of removal or a donation to the hall.

Yelverton:

  1. Grass cutting contract
    • To note the new contract is out for tender.
    • To consider the DCC verge cutting contract for 2025/26.

Buckland:

  1. Grass cutting contract – any issues to report.

Cemetery:

  1. To consider the layout of the extended ashes plots in the middle cemetery. (Cllr Woollacott/ Cllr Coulshaw)
  2. To consider a pet cemetery. (Cllr Woollacott)
  3. Location of cemetery bins for emptying.

Playparks and recreation areas:

  1. Buckland Monachorum update.
  2. Crapstone Playpark and wildlife area update.
  3. To consider creating a small orchard at Crapstone Recreational Field.

General and Correspondence

  1. Correspondence
    • To note the letter received concerning the Rural Bus Services, in particular, Plymouth City Bus no 55.
    • To consider a request for a formal pedestrian crossing at the Yelverton Roundabout crossing the A386 from Plymouth.
  2. BMPC Communications (newsletters, social media, press articles)
  3. Update on Parish paths (P3) and other footpath matters. (Cllr Woollacott)
  4. Highway matters: any to be reported and updates.
